Building Grande Prairie's police service
The Grande Prairie Police Service is creating a locally accountable police service designed to meet the unique needs of our community. With local oversight and a commitment to responsive, professional policing, GPPS is focused on helping keep Grande Prairie safe today and into the future.
GPPS will become the police service of jurisdiction for the City of Grande Prairie on October 21, 2026. Residents can be confident that policing services will continue without interruption throughout the transition.
